Poor poor Axl Rose has lost his voice! OMG, he can't sing for shit anymore (not that he could before, but damn, 10x worse now). I'm still laughing. I can't believe he's on stage, making a total fool of himself. Poor guy.

I hope you all got to see Axl make a total jackass of himself tonight on MTV's VMA's. LOL, that chump.

It was BAD. His voice is shot. How many original band members must there be to really call them G

How about David Lee Roth and Sammy assface together?
quote:
Daves the man, comes out in his black leather outfit, scarf around his neck, lookin badass, Sammy comes out in his pajamas

Sammy: Ya know Dave we've done 55 shows on this tour and this is the first time I'm seeing you, where the hell've ya been. ( right away I get the impression sam is TRYING to embarass Dave)

Dave: Why Sammy, I've been enjoying the music on the front bumper of American pop culture. ( great comeback by dave, I start laughing)

Sammy: ( looking away from Dave, somewhat frustrated) I don't know what the hell you just said.

Dave: Sammy , do you know Linkin Park's best song ?

Sammy: ( again lookin away frustrated ) I don't know any of their songs.

Dave: well where's the telaprompter (sp) (short speil about best rock videos)

AND THE 2002 MTV Best ROCK VIDEO AWARD WINNER IS

LINKIN PARK in the end

"Surprise" Appearance

Kurt Loder made it out to be this earthshaking rock and roll moment. And acted like it was a huge surprise appearance. I know he meant a surprise for the audience, but his delivery sounded like Axl, Buckethead, Tommy Stinson, and gang showed up with their truckload of gear, knocked and the stage door, and said off the cuff, "Uh, yeah, we're Guns n Roses. Can we, uh, play on your awards show?"

Despite apparent problems with his earpiece, Axl Rose's voice was in absolutely wretched shape and he became completely lost in the medley arrangement at the end of Welcome to the Jungle.

Embarrassing. Truly cringe-worthy television.

Cheers,

Jamie

PS--I've seen the Hives live and I don't think MTV's sound people could have made them sound any punier or thin.

Axl 's performance was embarassing.

After this debacle, you'll never see the cd "Chinese Democracy" come to light.
GNR were once a great kick in the pants to music and a great band(with all the debauchery and excessed that added to their image). But Axl's performance was just beyond embarassing and when he see's the tape he is gonna freak. He won't tour either. Anyway, this WAS NOT Guns and Roses.

I liked Robin Finck(ex-Nine Inch Nails) on guitar, though for effect.

Axel Rose, was he singing? I thought he was still in rehab. Perhaps
his days are truly behind him. Like the rolling stones & her majesty
Mick, he should of retired years ago.

I hate to admit it , but it's true Axl didnt look any good ,seriously I think its very sad seeing someone that once was on the top, trying to make a comeback, he looked unfit didnt sound good either. It was morbid to see that performance .. sad, I didnt like to watch it.
youre right Les he is gonna FREAK!!

David Lee Roth? hmmm another one who looks not cool at all but tried very hard .. hes getting bald isnt he? and looks like he abused bleaching ..

And what's YOUR excuse? (Just kidding, you know I love you Stephen Patrick!)

Also how about Eninem and his posse (of FOUR) wanting to beat up poor little Moby? What a PUSS!

He should have retired before the first GnR album ever was recorded!

What was up w/ those MTV awards? Was it the weed I was smoking, or did MTV do something really strange in the technical department. It looked odd and alienating.

Morrissey takes shot at MOBY in Santa Fe

That's funny you mentioned Moby because Morrissey took a shot at him in Santa Fe. I don't remember the exact quote, but Morrissey asked who was the last band to perform at the Santa Fe venue and someone shouted MOBY! Morrissey then said MOBY? He rambled on about Moby and it wasn't too kind. I'll try and find it on my recorder.

Yes! Please post a transcript. I thought he liked Moby!
Did he say anything else interesting/amusing?

it was filmed differently. not sure the name of it(but it is the future).
it made the awards appear to be on FILM rather than video. I HATED it. much prefer the video way. mtv dropped the ball big-time here.

axl's performance(this WAS NOT GNR BOYS) was awful, BUT rolling stone magazine reviewd a recent FULL gnr show and basically said it was da bomb. so maybe it was an off nite. who knows.

Boy I sure hope that ain't the future! It was awful and distancing. Ruined the whole program.

I think I read that before , he remarked "Band" and when they shouted Moby , he said : Isn't he a DJ ? he probably said it in an ironic way..but I dont know
