John Shuttleworth - Up & Down like a Bride's Nightie
the ultimate mental health companion!
Yay - I'm glad someone mentioned the sublime John Shuttleworth (I guess most people know that he and Jilted John are both creations of the wonderful Graham Fellowes?), though I'd have nominated either 'Two Margarines On The Go' or 'Austin Ambassador Y Reg'. Graham Fellowes was also responsible for the fantastic Smiths pisstake called 'It's My Turn To Be Poorly'. The Neil Innes' Rutles songs are great (and demonstrate how trite and formulaic most Lennon/McCartney compostions are). The Python 'Drunken Philosophers' song is surely a classic. And a lot of Ron Mael's lyrics for Sparks are masterpieces of hilarity: I'd nominate 'I Married Myself', 'Suburban Homeboy', 'Tits', 'Under The Table With Her', 'Ladies', 'Here Comes Bob', and 'Without Using Hands'.
For people of a certain age, this will raise a smile:
