Although it has been said that Moz once sang/auditioned as lead singer for S&theD's & for many months in 1978 'Where Have All The Boot Boys Gone" was never off my turntable (except to put the B-side on (You're a Bore, that's the title not me, or maybe it is me too, how life imitates art - yawns). Well last week I picked up a secondhand (£5) cd of the S&theD's 2 live shows in Manchester in the '70's (late that is), but on hearing Where have all the bootboys gone I heard the lyric "I go see united cause I'm having fun". They hail from Johnny's home town of Wythenshawe but Johnny never had time for punk I think he said it had already been & gone for him but my theory is that he must have heard that & him being a Blue would have dismissed the whole scene because of it or should I stop drinking now?

Sadly no to Hamburg, what a trip that should be, I'm going to Bury (not quite as exciting as your continental trip is it) tomorrow night, can't wait for the start of the season!
