I drove by the street and saw one bummed out girl walking around. i guess the shoot was a hoax.

We drove by last night after the make up show and saw nothing there. A bunch of abandoned buildings and wherehouses. Thought, my God, what the hell are they going to film here? Maybe prime spot for a rave, but not a video shoot. My friend drove by this after noon, and saw nothing that looked remotely like anyone was shooting anything there. Just trucks loading produce and stuff.

even if it wasn't a hoax, i could imagine them moving it because they knew the word was out and they didn't want a ton of screaming fans showing up.

That's what I thought too. But you should see this street. Did you ever see 28 Days Later? It was right out of that movie.
