Haven't heard the second LP.

The first one, 'The Decline Of British Sea Power' was excellent.

A good laugh live too.

Yes,I saw them last year at the Isle of Wight festival - highly entertaining, with the woodland creatures and the drummer`s nose bleed!

I love "The Land Beyond","It Ended on an Oily Stage","Fear of Drowning" and "Carrion"

The band themselves seem pretty "no nonsense" too - I like them!

They are sooo last month. I did love them, but now that love has been transfered to the Shout Out Louds.

IMO, best band to come out in the last 5 years. great music, great lyrics, great live, great videos(well that last one blew), 2 great album, great b-sides, great interviews. unfortunately, to "weird" for some who just "don't get it". you either hate them or love them. there seems to be no in-between.

BSP: seen Sunday on Clapham Common

I saw them at the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream festival. The event wasn't really my thing (though I did get to hold a chicken for a while and petting them is v therapeutic) but they had lots of live music and my friend wants to work for the company (they are quite ethical, apart from the cow who could hardly walk because her udder was so full and she was lowing for her missing calf - that put me off the ice cream).
Anyways, back to the bands, British Sea Power were very good, sort of an interbreeding of The Magic Numbers, The Shins and Arcade Fire. I'll probably buy an album of their's; they also brought a giant bear on stage, which was a very Flaming Lips thing to do.
Also saw Alabama 3 (surreal and strangely good) and Yeti (ex-Libetine, John Hassell's band) who were top notch.
But yeah, BSP, weird and wonderful.

I don't like the sounds of that sound like a 'clever swine'.

I tell you who are also really excellent who i would advise everyone to have a gander at, MEW-Frengers - Pure brilliance. Have a listen you might thank me
