Mark Ronson's cover of "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before"

Haha! i posted saying how much i hated this in a thread a few weeks ago where everyone else was saying it was good. The thread sunk without trace. This thread seems to have attracted a bit more hate :p

im not sorry .v. no regrets

i love "i'm not sorry". yes, the pop production on quarry doesn't suit most of the tracks (including this one). no, it's not up there with "speedway", but it stands up on it's own merits imho.

is Morrissey part of the 'Loudess War?'

i'd say ROTT had much better dynamic range than YATQ which was probably more guilty of overloud mastering. IWSYIFOP is a very loud track - but i would say it's as more stylistic than over mastering, you can't here the vocals getting squashed by over compression like you can on many other...

    Morrissey - ?questionable?

check this out... funny as f**k! http://lovegodsway.org/GayBands according to this website - One of the most dangerous ways homosexuality invades family life is through popular music. Parents should keep careful watch over their children's listening habits, especially in this Internet Age...

    Is it really so strange?

so glad you lot all agree! i think if they had recorded a proper studio version of this it would been a great choice for a single. in many ways it's got a lot more in common with the earlier jangly classics than the more "musically innovative" strangeways tunes... maybe that's why they didn't...

    Is it really so strange?

i just find it odd... LASID raves about sheila... i think 'is it really so strange' is even more fun. really odd that they got put next to each other at the start of 'louder than bombs'... i would have thought whoever put that compilation together would have wanted them further apart - so the...

    Is it really so strange?

i am loving this song at the moment! i think it's criminally underated. LASID says the following: "this song was obviously not considered good enough to bother doing a proper studio version. Morrissey's ridiculous tale of confused horse-murderers and tiny Southern houses is backed by a...
