The simple answer is that those albums were originally recorded for and mastered in monaural sound. So, we get the closest approximation to what the Beatles (and George Martin) were going for when they laid down the tracks and mixed them.
As a bonus, these tracks sound better on personal...
I didn't post them. Just found 'em and am sharing them. They all worked for me a few days ago.

What a bunch of a-holes. I swear. I signed up for an account. Their "Terms and Conditions" link didn't work. But it had no problems letting me sign up for their music-selling site, knowing I was from the US. Nope, just let me keep adding Morrissey songs to my basket. It's shite like this...
Thx!
I'm happy to hear it before the tardy arrival of my import-from-UK singles. I think the lame WMA format (along with the low bitrate) should be enough to force those tempted to make this their definitive version to go and buy a real digital copy. Those who don't care wouldn't have bought...

I appreciate your concerns for this site, Celibate. Id never want to endanger its existence. I ifgured if the moderators thought appropriate, theyd remove it. When one of the moderators asked for a second way to get the first part, I thought of that as (not a ringing endorsement but) at least a...
Splendid! While you're going about it, please ask Jo to re-release Peepholism, so its accessibility isn't limited to those who can pay tout ransoms on Ebay.
