MORRISSEY "you are the quarry" is on number 50 of top 50 albums Belgium of 22/05/2004. Its the first in his career that he entered the belgian album charts!! Only on indie charts "de afrekening" (studio brussels) he's now on number 19 (top 30 from the listeners)

  • The Smiths were in the Belgian charts with "Bigmouth Strikes again", and on 1986 were a number of weeks in the "Top Dertig" on Radio 1. I still have the tapes. I don't remember if Panic got on Radio Top Dertig or on Studio Brussel charts, but I have a tape with it being played and given a chart position by some unidentified DJ.

  • I always figured the Belgians having better tastes in music than the Dutch.

I was in Antwerp one afternoon, just browsing around, trying to buy a see-thru negligee for the girlfriend...and suddenly "Bigmouth" came over the PA, much to my pleasant surprise.

When I came back to Holland, the only thing you hear over the PA are the usual suspects: various DJ-music, Evanescence (is that really a word???) and Pop Idols-type twaddle.
