Book Endorsements for Anthony Carey

Morrissey, Multi-platinum recording artist and former lead singer of the Smiths
December 2, 2003

"To see our way to good health, we must be willing to stop and observe things about our bodies that are less than perfect. We all have the capacity to make positive changes to how our body functions and feels. Anthony's book will walk you through the simple steps of seeing where help is needed and what you can do about it. It's your body - and, for the most part - you are in charge. As Anthony's cousin I am especially proud of his achievements."

  • I've been asking on the Message Board, I mean I even did a small survey to find out if Morrissey exercised or even was remotely interested in matters of health. And everyone told me was a "couch potato" who just ate crisps up in the Hollywood Hills. I refused to believe this, because he has always been quite fit & trim, and even now that he is nearly 45, he still looks good, just more of a middle build than the svelte person he was in younger years. Anyway, Moz has always talked about his simple eating habits, fruits, vegetables, and such, and I just figured that health did matter to him, and it would seem that it does.

Personally, I think he does exercise. So there.

  • that Steven claims to be his cousin (or is that just an American euphemism for f*ck buddy??). Is this guy one of the "Colorado" Morrisseys, that our Moz visited during his dole age?

  • I suppose this guy (Anthony Carey) will bring out a yoga video next. It'll probably have a cameo by the ever-so flexible Moz who'll be stretching his Mozmuscles...

  • Spent one long night (unsuccessfully!) trying to trace Anthony Carey directly to Moz. Anthony has spent a LONG time in San Diego (where I live) and I can only think of the Colorado connection. Hard to believe they may be related in some way. Small, small world. At any rate, this guy has an impressive resume. www.functionfirst.com

  • With a surname like Carey, it's obvious this guy also has Irish blood in him. The family-link probably goes back someway to the homeland.

  • If you go to the website, there is a bio of him. He has an impresssive resume.
-Master of Arts degree in biomechanics
-Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology from Trenton State College
I figure he must be Moz's Jersey Family.
