In this week's NME there is a great picture of Morrissey standing alongside The Libertines. The photo was taken before Morrissey went on stage at Brixton Academy. The article mentions about Libertines supporting Morrissey and about the lead singer being a big fan of the Moz.

  • Speaking of Morrissey's former support bands in the NME - there's a rapturous review of The Thrill's debut single in the singles review [nme.com] section ("Debut of the year") ??!!

...the Crime they styl'd 'Anonymity.' That is, I left messages posted publicly, but did not sign them. -- Thomas Pynchon
  • ...about this picture is that it was taken by an NME photographer, Dean Chalkly. That suggests that the idea of Moz posing with current NME faves The Libertines was set up in advance, either by Moz's people or, possibly more likely, The Libertines.

The question, therefore, is: did Morrissey know that this photo was specifically for the NME? I really can't see how he wouldn't have. If that's the case, does that mean the feud might finally be over? After all, he did mention in the interview posted recently from the Irish radio session, that all of the people involved in the original racist smear had left.

  • I thought they were great in RAH, and that song of theirs which was played before the shows was brillant (the one which goes "And I never should have settled down" or something like that). Is it really called 'One Horse Town'?
Is there an album or a single available anywhere?
