Ashburne Glen writes:

As recently reported on Pitchforkmedia.com, Pernice Brothers namesake Joe Pernice is hard at work on an "autobiographical/fictional novella" to be published in the fall of 2003, according to a post on the band's official Web site. The book, which was picked up by "a good sized, unsuspecting publisher," revolves around the author's obsession with/relation to the Smiths' 1985 album "Meat Is Murder."

Pending his publishers' approval, Pernice hopes to post a few samples from the work-in-progress on his Web site (www.pernicebrothers.com).
