The bit of news is that Doug Martsch (Built to Spill, Treepeople, The Halo Benders) played a great acoustic cover of "This Night Has Opened My Eyes" during an intimate solo gig at the Tractor Tavern in Seattle, WA on 3.27.02. I've attached an mp3 of the song (3:07, 160Kbps, 3.6MB), which I recorded. Doug has always been a huge Moz fan, citing "Hatful of Hollow" as an early inspiration and covering "Bigmouth..." with the Treepeople as well as "Please, Please..." with The Halo Benders and name-checking "That Joke..." on the Built to Spill song "You Were Wrong".
