Happen to come across this article with the sub heading "...Think Morrissey, but not gay". The article is somewhat good, and the paintings very good. But felt the sub heading had no need to mention or mock Morrissey. Maybe you can ask why.

  • I don't know much about this guy but the painting in picture looks very much in the style of Lucien Freud, who is also a (famous British) painter and a grandson of that wonderful Mr. psyche, Sigmund Freud.

(Well, let's skip the dodgy suspicion of mine here, that S. Frued must've had a secret passion towards one of his early friends, Dr. Fliess - it'll make me look worst...)

But then again, L. Freud was a close friend of Francis Bacon, who is a much admired and famous British painter for his characteristic style, as well as known as gay.

Another one: This strange chain reaction leads me to another piece of art titled "Come Armageddon", by Nayland Blake. It consists of a video cassette of "The Third Man" by Orson Welles, potpourri and a big poster of "Everyday Is Like Sunday" single of Morrissey. (This work is dated 1990.) And this guy Blake is gay. Have anyone seen it? Sorry I can't post the picture for I don't have a scanner.

Is being gay matter in THIS manner? Or, does it have to be?
Personally I don't want being or being called gay to be mocking, no matter how frequently I feel on the edge of abandoning to a commonly accepted idea of societies. Which makes me this big contradiction, thankyouverymuch.
