  • When this single first came out I scoured the interweb to figure out the meaning of those lyrics. As a budding artist and filmaker I tracked down and watched several of Pasolini's films. Pretty obscure stuff but I love threads like this one that delve into lyrical content and the mind of our hero. Not just some "Andy Roarke ate fresh at subway" crap. I guess you cant fault them, but why does every music journalist think every damn song is about celibacy? Read a damn interview conducted past 1994!

  • Morrissey is aware of Reiner Werner Fassbinder {rip}
    or Wim Wenders

    maybe German culture isn't that populair of fascinating for englsih raised people, or not coming from th europe mainland

    I hope he knows about Goethe or classical music from Mozart, Beethoven was Deaf, yeah we got a
    match

    but Fassbinder and Wenders made movies you love
    or hate it

    die ehe evan maria braun [or soething like that
    is Fassbinders most known film

    dunno or Blechtummel is from him, but that one I don't like, same as U Boot

    As for Italian give me Visconti instead of pierre paulo Passoloini

    'and they say he's mentall'

    well just like Morrissey
