  • I didn't realize how much of fan she was. That is the second time I've noticed her comment on Moz. Any fan of Morrissey is good with me.

Do I want to know what they mean by "a bigger star in an unflattering way?" It doen't make sense, and the possible interpretations (bitching about his size? Or bitching about fame going to his head?) range from mean to just weird. I think he looks good and acts about how he always has; what's up with the editorializing?

Also, Lady Gaga seems like a nice girl, but I don't know why her lending her authority is so key here. And why a pic of him in jeans and a black-button-down to demonstrate his style? It all just seems like a really, really weird piece of writing, layout, the whole bit.

Some may remember the British GQ back in 2005, where Morrissey was part of their Men of the Year issue. In it was a two-page interview alongside a six-page fashion spread with Moz looking very sharp in his vintage suit and looking very tan. Even the photographer made it a point to mention what a joy it was to work with him.

So, why the ambiguously snarky remark from GQ alongside the Lady GaGa quote? Regarding what; his fame? His manly athletic body? As long as I live, I will never understand the politics and/or fickleness of these rag mags.

If you don't like him, then don't look at him.

  • As much as I adore Morrissey, I don't think he has a fashion sense at all. The red jacket at Jonathan Ross shows as the all time low. He should just stick to a tailored dark suit and one colour dress shirts. The shirts he was wearing at the beginning of this tour were also unflattering. And don't get me started on the shoes....

  • It's not what he wears, it's the way that he wears it.

If Moz did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.
  • Those low slung trews, vegan shoes, silver temples, hateful eyes and a knowing smirks, tasteful jewellary, distinctivley catholic, the thistle! What about that cracking paisley jacket of 2004? A tommy gun! Those oversized womans blouses with Nans beads! His iconic style status cannot be argued. He holds himself like a true gentleman and that can only be admired.

I find myself immediately liking Lady GaGa just because she's a Morrissey fan. It's like my interest in Harry Hill, I'm not sure if it's just that I know he's devoted. What's that about?
