Is Greg Mottola's 'Adventureland' Next Year's 'Rushmore'? Plus Script Gives It Up For Neil Young, Lou Reed, The Smiths, '80s Alterna-Rock And More - The Playlist

A coming of age story set in the 1980s at an Adventureland theme park, the film is set to star Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart and Ryan Reynolds among many others as post-college graduates forced to spend a miserable summer working in a Long Island family amusement park ...Other tunes included in the script are tracks by The Smiths, "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out," (itself sounding like a true music-cinema moment)

Who knows if they all made the script, but director Greg Mottola did say they cleared the use of 50-some songs and Yo La Tengo's James McNew (YLT composed the movie's score) confirmed to us that an early cut of the film contained a boatload of songs.

The film hits U.S. theatres on March 27th.

  • The Smiths and Neil Young! I don't care what its all about, my two favourite artists in the world in one film means I'll be giving it a very big thumbs up!

  • there is some twisted fuck posting around here I am a "lunatic from MA" and therefore I will no longer be Mrs Woolf. I also had to cancel a myspace account because he keeps peeping at it trying to scheme God knows what. Perhaps a pathetic "proof" (dossier) that I am bloodthirsty just because I like Film Noir, like Metropolis and Elevator To The Gallows.

I am not sure if I will post under another name. He could have an IP tracker. If, though, I post in any other way, and he knows that I am I, then I'm sure he has one.

Not that I owe anybody (much less him) any explanations on my account, but I have never hurt, let alone killed, any living thing, except for insects. I cringe at the sight of blood and dead bodies. Yes, I feel hatred sometimes, but that does not make me a killer. And I did issue a threat against him once, but it was of a legal order.

I also like Hitcock movies, but only the ones he did in the 40s and 50s which were very deep and psychological. I don't care much for Birds, Rope or Psycho.

Maybe people in this country should stop watching so many murder movies on TV and do something better in life than obsessing about "dangerously ill" people that only exist in their minds.

I know I am obsessed about this. But how could I NOT be?!

His pen name is Skorzeny, by the way.

    Good bye.
