In an interview in the September 4 issue of Rolling Stone, Randy Newman says, "My older boys, from my first marriage, got me listening to the Smiths. I like Morrissey's lyrics - he's one of the best guys there's been, and he's funny, too."

Randy Newman and Morrissey both appeared on "Later..." together in November 1995. Both performed, with Moz promoting "The Boy Racer" and Newman performing something from "Toy Story"... I wonder if Newman remembers...cool quote nonetheless.

(much like moz.) and so much more than these kiddie movies he's concentrated on for the better part of 15 years. if you don't believe me, go pick up his 'best of', or 'sail away' or '12 songs' albums, and enjoy...
