I was at the Girl in a Coma show last nite (Sep. 17) at the Viper Room and in the corner booth Morrissey was seated with the band and Kristeen Young. During the girls set you can see Morrissey dancing along to the tunes.Soon after I saw the band one by one shake Moz's hand and talk. I got to meet Phanie, the drummer for the girls and according to her they got to met Morrissey after the gig and were told that his favorite songs were "Clumsy Sky" and "Say". The girls had an amazing set.. and were also told by Moz that they were just that.. amazing. Soon after they played Morrissey left. Boz stuck around and hung with the girls for the remainder of the night. There really quite great .. you can check them out at myspace.com/girlsinacoma

Just read this on girl in a comas myspace

Well we had to share this with everyone. Last night's gig was amazing...and to top it off Morrissey himself attended the show. This morning on LA radio here.. there was rumor that Nina fainted while meeting Moz... so to clear that... she didn't.
We were , though, nervous wrecks knowing he was out there. After our show we got to meet him and were told that his favorite songs were "Clumsy Sky" and "Say". He said alot of things that meant alot to us.
So now we are breaking up.
We kid.

  • The band that headlined the Viper Room that night (I won't name them because I despise them and I don't want to give them free publicity) were having the party for the release of their new album. Thank you, Moz, for stealing the spotlight from them!

  • I just heard their songs at myspace.com and the influences exerted on them seemed to have brought about a really good quality singing and songwriting. Clumsy Sky has this melodious punk atmosphere with a persistent undertone of heart-felt, purged out sadness The Smiths and Morrissey had. You can see there is influence there, not mimiquing. Very good. Isn't is funny that they are a trio, like The Dicksy Chicks, another band I enjoy, although it has nothing to do with punk rock music?

Red, there's the all-girls band you were looking for.

  • Why doesnt Moz ditch the God Awful Kristeen Young and get Girl in a Coma to open for him instead. They are an amazingly talented band and with them on the bill any show on this tour would be incredible. And No, I'm not one of them or related to them. Just a Phan!

  • One of the few times when I actually liked something Morrissey appeared to have a crush on.
    I like the girls.

  • "I would NEVER harm a child"
I know for a fact you caused great harm posting personal information and attacks of children whose father committed suicide. I heard you caused a lot of damage because of what you posted on this site.

If you had a problem with their Aunt, take it up with her. You don't post little kids personal information such as names, ages, and addresses on a message board. What if a pedophile saw the personal infomation you posted and decided to do something sinister. Why do you feel you are justified in exposing them to that? Those poor kids suffered a tragic loss and I find your behaviour outrageous when it comes to those kids.
