  • I came away with the feeling that Mr. Chua Chern Toong never appreciated Morrissey in the first place. And Mr. Toong has his history wrong. Johnny MARR decided he wanted out of The Smiths; not the other way around. Do some more research before you write a review, Mr. Toong..."Bona Drag" had not a hint of The Smiths for me and it was brilliant. There are some tracks on "Kill Uncle" I like actually and also some off "Malajusted." "You Are The Quarry" is no "Vauxhall & I" but Jerry Finn did a damned good job in producing. The new sound is quite welcome, and I enjoy all of the songs save two. So what if we are fanatical; as I've always said, "You either get it or you don't." There are no grey areas here. There will NEVER be anyone like Morrissey AGAIN- he is that unique. He is a true Artist, which gives him leeway to be a bit eccentric now and then. Come on now! That's one of the reasons we love him.
