Morrissey was referred to on BBC 2's new satirical game show, Mock The Week, this evening.
The celebrity contestants had to make a humourous comment on a news item. A British actor, Hugh Dennis, made his on hospitals and, to be precise, MRSA. He said something along the lines of the Tories thinking MRSA was the lead singer of The Smiths. It got quite a big laugh from the audience.
Tonight's edition (the first of this new series) may be repeated at some point this week, so if you're in the UK, watch out for it to see the reference.

Interestingly, once he'd said that, I started to eerily realise something. Hugh Dennis bears a slight resemblance to Moz - the big chin - and that fluffy thing above his forehead may well be his version of The Famous Morrissey Fluffy Quiff.
Then something else occured to me - when he's stood next to his sidekick, Thingy Punt (forgive me), they look like a crap lookalike agency version of Morrissey and Marr. Hmmm... much stroking of chin occured, and then I went back to my Reader's Digest.
