The Queen is dead was the most essential Indie album, and there was a page of gushing praise for the Smiths, accompanying the selection.

    ...And it is not gained by positions in lists in Q magazine, the music magazine of twenty-somethings going through their 'serious' phase.Although, i am glad that common sense is becoming common , and The Smiths are having a resurgennce of late.

    To call Queen Is Dead an 'indie album' is belittling. Makes it sound like a niche record. By now almost everyone owns a copy. It's more English than the Beatles.

          seems a strange thing to bring to our attention. don't all items start with "......writes" and the name of the person who's posted them? hardly broken's fault.

          broken does seem a vicious sort but should he/she really effect you so much?
