Why is this incredibly revered show being premiered on VH2???
After all this time anticipating the unlikely release of the concert on d.v.d, it is almost unthinkable that this has happened... I'm completely stunned.
Why has it only became public knowledge a couple of days before the event?
It seems quite bizzarre now that thousands of us 'signed' the petition to Sanctuary regarding the release of it too.

I thought the idea was that there was going to be a forthcoming DVD of this show?

'Who Put The M In Manchester' has been rumoured for some time but there may be a positve slant on this; It was recently reported (where? Remind me, I forget) that the DVD was going to 'document' Morrissey's recent tour. If the concert footage is going to be broadcast, the DVD could indeed be a behind the scenes documentary which I'm sure most fans would prefer. (?)

That said, there is also the chance that it will be broadcast on TV and THEN released as a DVD. Frankly, although wrong, this wouldn't be too astonishing for Our Moz would it?!

Anyone know if it's being televised in So. Cal?

Dammit Morrissey, why can't you be more famous in the U.S. so that this concert would show on the original VH1 channel in the US? Instead we will get to watch Bands Reunited where these fools try to sneak up on you and see if you will reunite with Johnny and the boys. The most footage we get is you pulling up in a car, walking in the back door of the Apollo theater, and that's it. Reuniting Starr, McCartney, the decaying corpse of Harrison, and the ashes of Lennon would be more likely than reuniting Morrissey/Marr/Rourke & Joyce.

My guess is that there will be a dvd of the Dublin show instead. Last show before he retires...

Yes, I could host it as well if anyone could put it in a reasonable size mpeg format (or avi/mov as well) for FREE, and everyone hosting could save bandwidth. That way we wouldn't have to bother with torrents since they're sometimes so troublesome.

i already know of 3 people who are going to be recording this digitally and releasing it on the net in both DVD and AVI formats. it will probably be out in the wild 2-3 days after airing. once out, you'll be able to get it in whatever format you want FREE, so please don't pay some rip-off artist for this.

any idiot with the right channel and a dvd burner can do this.
