  • I caught it last time they showed it on BBC 4, and did watch it out of interest because of Viv Nicoloson's relation to Moz. Well worth a look.

  • for everyone - like the above poster - who dosent get the link....

ViV Nicholson - star of Smiths covers and one time 'associate' of Morrissey ( remember him driving her around in a flash car in that doc.) is the subject and star or Spend, Spend, Spend

She won £150k ( then about the same as 1.5mill) on the football pools back in the 60's - and went onto......yes - you guessed it. became tabloid fodder and had a bizzare and tragic life - now lives quietly oop north as a Jehovas Witness

    blah, blah, blah.

go dig your copy of 'Heavean Knows I'm Miserable Now" out and have a good hard look.

    tsk....

  • It was an excellent film. Well put together - astonishingly even - and didn't look at all dated [and it was set 16 or so years in the past relative to when it was made). Some excellent observations. Excellent cast. Liz Smith (Mam in The Royale Family) was palying the grandma role even in 1977! John Duttine (as Keith , Viv's love-of-her life) looked very familiar but I couldn't put a name to him. He's been in many good things since.
