YATQ held a second week at 28 in the UK chart on Sunday.

On teletext today, Morrissey was singled out (by HMV) as one of a few artists whose sales have benefited from Glasto so maybe the album'll creep up this week.

FOTGTD seems to have disappeared from the top 50 airplay chart (44 last week) though. Strange as it's still B-listed on Radio 2 (Steve Wright played it yesterday!) and getting a lot of airplay on Virgin and XfM...

  • They still refuse to play him, even with such an incredibly radio-friendly song. It beats me.

  • For those of you who haven't seen the FOTGTD video, they are now showing it on VHI.com.

  • the song has instantly gone from being a potentially massive hit to being possibly a top 7 song. Possibly.

Those who are not Morrissey fans will sit through that video and just think it's quite sad.

Considering Morrissey was slagging off the release of hulmerist and malady recently, you'd think he could come up with something a little more original and well put together than a few incongruous clips of a live gig with a live performance including all the out of tune moments for an official video of possibly his biggest hit. Either make good videos, or don't bother making them at all Moz.

What sounds like a fantastic Summer hit looks on this video like something that could possibly have been performed at Butlins.

  • Irish Blood, English Heart has been showing on MuchMoreMusic here in Canada, on a regular basis, and it's a new thing for this channel, to have anything by Morrissey on, except a little, when they're doing stuff about the 80's, or on gay icons, in which he was appeared, though I just missed that segment (damn!), seeing only the end of the program, with Madonna taking the biggest standing.
