An anonymous person writes:
Richard Martin, who used this site often, and had a journal here, passed away on the 7th of March after a lengthy battle with cancer. He had many friends on the site. --- Update: 04/03 16:10 GMT: This was apparently all a joke - link.

I didn't know him but remember reading some of his journal entries that were very comical.
One thing that immediatley comes to mind is him writing about how pleased he was to see his name mentioned in type when he had submitted a story for this site.

No, seriously...Richard Martin seemed very interesting, bright, and nice. It's sad to hear he has moved on from this world. This world sure would benefit from more people like him, no doubt.
