Ryan Adams is listening to The Smiths bootleg, "Thank Your Lucky Stars." According to the Spin March 04' issue.

not really important but since there is a buzz in Melissa at the front page, here's an entry from her tour diary

the night before last we played in the beautiful city of cambridge england. it is a big university town and wow were the ears and eyes eager for rock music! it was such a fun show with a lively crowd. we topped off the night with a dance party in our shabby dressing room drinking guiness and dancing to thin lizzy, outkast, the refused and the smiths.

  • www.ryan-adams.com the site is i think. lists "listing to smiths bootlegs" as one of his favourite past times. the first track of Gold (i think) is him having an argument with a friend about something morrissey - can't remember exactly what, something about which track an album was on.

make sure and check the site - a gem of an artist who gives the fingers to the RIAA and co. by having his last three albums up for download on the site. lovely. but buy the cds!

  • Ryan Adams is an arrogant little twat with no musical identity of his own.

He hasn't done anything decent since "Heartbreaker" (which by the way is the album that has the Morrissey argument as the opening track, not "Gold").
