The "Süddeutsche Zeitung" took the opportunity and printed one small article on the release of Cummins' book in Germany and two large pictures of Morrissey. The article will probably be no longer made available on the web after today (Sueddeutsche Zeitung, 02/03/2003, p. 14) but it's really nice...

It says that t.a.t.u.'s succes with How soon is now?" is an indicator of how influential The Smiths were, and how the band "struggled for a more beautiful world". Their album covers were noble, and the titles "Strangeways here we come", "Bigmouth Strikes again" and "There is a light that never goes out" have become part of everyday language.

On the book, SZ writes: "Cummins followed the band everywhere, on tour and in the studio, but he never got really close to his boss. How should he? We see Morrissey, the ponderer, the egocentric, the excentric - the narciss, who hated standing in public. A literary figure has no private life.".
