2003 Simpsons calendar includes Morrissey's birthday

In the new 2003 "Simpsons" calendar, Morrissey's birthday is actually listed this year. It has not been in the calendar the past few years. He shares his birthday with Richard Wagner and Sun Ra (whoever that is, I do not know personally). I bet even Morrissey likes the Simpsons.

Simpsons never let me down :) By the way Sun Ra is a fantastic African singer who has a very original 'African Space' sound. He tours with a large band and has dancers too. I bet the Mozzer would like him just for his originality. ;)

Here comes the Sun Ra (Score:1)

Sun Ra was born in 1914 in Birmingham Alabama, although he claims to from Saturn.
He played what can only be described as Space-Jazz, and toured relentlessly throughout the world with his Arkestra.
Although he never achieved the historical plaudits of his contemporaries, Charlie Parker, Charles Mingus etc, he was beloved by the beatnicks and the underground set.
He died, and presumably returned to Saturn, in 1993.
I only came to know his music form it being covered by his acolytes The Spacemen 3, who performed his track 'Starship' at almost every concert they played.

Sun ra - as well as being the bastardised name for the Egyptian god of the sun (it is just 'Ra'), is a very splendid reggae - or rather dub- recording artiste of great repute and even greater years.
