'The slow and sad set in Seattle have been keeping under their umbrella's a bit of a happy secret in Carissa's Wierd. After releasing two divine albums on the small seattle indie Brown Records and being lauded by the press, they've stepped up to release a 7" as part of the ever defunct Subpop Singles Club.

So, what does all this have to do with Morrissey? The band have just released an absolutely wonderful acoustic version of Suedehead (with sublime boy girl duets) as part of the last series in the Subpop Singles Club. Although, theres a catch. The trick is that you've got to sign up for the Subpop Singles Club in order to get your 7" slab of wax. To do so, please go to www.subpop.com. Of course, by all means, do whatever it takes to pick up Carissa's Wierd's 'Ugly but Honest' and 'You Should Be at Home Here' at your local indie store. '
