"The Smiths Tribute" at Indie Festival in Spain (July)

The "7º Festival de la Escena Indie "ComtemPOPranea 2002" will take place in Badajoz, Spain during the first week of July.

The line up includes a very good mix of Spanish & British indie bands and what's even more important: "The Smiths Homenaje" where all the bands playing this year will perform a Morrissey/Marr song.

The Smiths, according to organizers, were "the most influential indie-pop band from the last 15 years" and all the bands agreed to played their songs under their own "musical approach".

  • I went to Benicassim which was an indie festival outside of barcelna last year and Sidonie Played. They were one of the highlights of my trip. They were FUCKING GREAT! Indie from spain isnt too well known in the states or even here in london, but believe you me its brilliant!
