As abhorrent as the notion of logging on to the NME's site may be, they've posted a review of Morrissey's Santa Barbara show and--shock, horror!--it's very positive.

  • It seems he's finally having the last laugh, the s'pposed 'old washed up has been' is showing all the young pretenders once again how it's done, you never can rule him out......he's a fighter, dismiss him at your peril!!!!!

  • the first positive NME review of a live Moz concert since 1991! love the description of '1st of the gang': classic Moz with jangling guitars and obtuse lyrics!

  • "Stealing an assortment of moves from late '60s Elvis, La Moz proceeds to dumbfound us by, well, being quite good actually."

I honestly don't think they're capable of doing good, honest, insightful reviews at the NME. What matters to them is what is "cool" or "in" at the time. Morrissey is on the up again and they don't want to be seen as not knowing this.
