Penned a crappy poem
Reached and put it in your hand
Meant nothing by it

That's six syllables. I thought haikus were supposed to be 5-7-5 ??

    I Like You
  • I penned the pompadour haiku out of boredom and vanity. I am secretly (well, now publicly) pleased it was chosen to be part of a main news item on this fabulous website.

I would rub myself in peanut butter and shout profanity in a foreign language on a street corner to develop even a faint connection to Morrissey in some way.

I thank ThinLizzie for initiating the whole thing.

  • these poems are not haiku because they do not contain reference to a season. this requirement is actually more important than the syllable distribution.

i expect more than i should.
