Hi,
I dunno if you've been notified before but...

1) the NME's review of "Greatest Hits" (6 out of 10) is online and it's not a particularly good one.
Here's the link http://www.nme.com/reviews/morrissey/9460

2) The UK site Hagley Road to Ladywood reviewed "That's How People Grow Up" and, again, Mozza doesn't come on top.

Greatest hits that we have already (Score:0)
Why would any fan want to rush out and but Moz's new greatest hits? For two new songs? Thanks Moz, you really dug deep with those. Even better, we can buy the cd with a 'bonus' live cd. Tell me, how is it a bonus if we have to pay extra for the bloody thing? And why so few songs on the 'bonus' cd? Why not do the decent thing and include a 'free' (as in 'at no extra cost') dvd with a concert or two on it. Why does every other cd and dvd from Moz have to be a complete and utter rip off designed to do nothing other than make more money for someone who was already a millionaire back in the 1980's? Of course there is a simple solution for people like me: don't buy the greatest hits cd, which is exactly what I am going to do. I am very much looking forward to the new album later this year, in the meantime I'll be buying original material from singers/bands who don't piss all over their fans.

I don't agree with all of the elements of this review: There really seems to be some negativity about the new single in many quarters, not just this review.

I really can't understand why it's considered such a turkey. To my ears it's simply another pleasantly diverting Morrissey song.

Anyway, I was surprised by this review and it certainly expresses valid opinions stylishly.

Thankfully there's no snide mention of the legal contretemps and the reviewer clearly has had many hours of pleasure as part of The Audience.

      Can the NME redeem themselves?

No. Too many lies and betrayals of trust. Too many times. They'll never get another 'personal audience'. Ever. If Morrissey does: It's over between me and him. For ever.
