I was browsing through a book dedicated to Tupac Shakur, when I stumbled upon the writer comparing some of the lyrics to "National Front Disco", to some of the lyrics to a Tupac song. The writer then also compared the "black experience" to the poverty that Morrissey suggests,I found this strange since I wonder if the dedicated readers would know who Morrissey is! The book is called "Rebel for the Hell of It", by Armond White. People may want to check this out.

  • Did you know that there is now a new course of study at UC Berkeley that focuses on the writings of Tupac? The only set back is that as a prerequisite you MUST have a Notorious GED!

    He He!! ;)

Hope you all have a great weekend!

  • armond white is a film critic for the new york press, the village voice's competition in the free weekly "alternative" newsgame in the new york city area. he mentions moz and the smiths often, but even without the references, the paper boasts the finest film criticism in the city....

I long time ago, I too, noticed the a lot of the similar aspects between their lyrics. The themes between certain songs like M's "We Hate It When..." and, for example, Tupac's "I Ain't Mad At You." Their are actually many more songs of theirs in which the themes are very alike in many ways more one. Four posters hang on each one of my four walls, one of MOrrissey, one of Tupac, one of Woody Allen, and one of Clint Eastwood.
If I was to go to war against the state of Rhode Island I would want these four brothers on my side to do battle.
