Great moment in film

06:22 AM

La Mamma Morta from the opera Andrea Chènier

Remember the heart stopping--emotional wallup of a scene--in the movie, Philadelphia, when Tom Hanks does an explication of the great aria La Mamma Morta?! This beautiful song sung by the opera diva, Maria Callas, gives me the chills.

This is one of the best scenes ever captured on film, imo. Director, Johnathan Demme (husband of Kate Winslet, no less), states that this scene was was filmed in just one take. Amazing!

  • Just wondering how everything is going with you at present. Have you adjusted well to the move?
