I hate feeling guilty. It is the emotion I am least comfortable with. Give me sorrow, fear, or anger. I can cope with these. But guilt makes me want to crawl under a rock and hide from the world -- from myself. Too bad it is too difficult to escape. It is a plague that surrounds and suffocates the spirit.
