Curling up with a good book

12:26 PM

I just got the book Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores The Hidden Side Of Everything. This looks like a great read. I hope the book addresses Materialism and conflict theories by providing data from research, rather than spoon feeding the reader simplistic armchair theories. I shall soon find out.

Be back in a few with a review, hehe.

  • This book is entertaining but is not an academic text by any means. Conclusions are drawn but without any theoretical analysis. Too simple for the learned social scientist but interesting none the less.
