I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about your hampster. I hope your son is okay. I used to have mice and hampsters, too, until my last hampster died. I was so attached to him. He used to swim in the sink and drink from the faucet! He was truly a delight. But, jeez, that was a long time ago! I wouldn't mind having another, but...I just get too attached. And, like you, I can't handle another loss right now -or at any point, actually.

About your last entry (before this one, of course), I hope you can work things out. You have a very positive outlook - and that's an important life skill to have when facing such harsh blows. :)
