Last Link

If anyone wants the link to work, you have to delete the extra space added after the first 'story'. Not sure why it did this. Cheers for the comment Ken, I would have replied but I have used up the comment allocation for us bad Karma people!

IOW to World Trade

04:55 PM
Since I am all but barred out of commenting on the Message Board, I thought I would test the water in the Journal Land. Can I get trolled in here? Not sure what to make of the IOW comments, but I am please we no longer burn people at the stake (UK anyway). I really lucked in on this one as I was going to go, but it clashed with a pre-booked holiday in sunny Scarborough. This is not too far from Bridlington so I will take a nostalgia visit to remind me of the best performance / gig of the tour last year. I am suffering gig wise as I have only managed to really enjoy 1 performance (that of Idlewild) since last seeing Moz in December. The Dead 60’s are up next week and I don’t know whether to go or not. They were passable in the Moz support role and at least they will keep me off here for a night. If anyone wants to know why the world is so fucked, just read the article from the Independent on US Cotton subsidies. Saint Bob is just pissing in the wind with his G8 concert with this guy in charge. Oh well, at least the Spice Girls are reforming and launching a new Tour, single and ‘Greatest Shits Album’ on the back of it (sorry, that is not in the Independent, wor lass gets the Lies of the World). http://news.independent.co.uk/world/politics/story.jsp?story=643975

Bootleg Site

08:29 AM

I have been picking up a few things off site users and as someone passed on a bootleg site to me I thought I should share it:

http://bootleg.freakin.nl/

Many of you are way ahead of me on this sort of thing, but I picked up the Morrissey/Burns Barbarism Begins here. Loads of other bands as well.

Hope this of use to some people.

Brighton Stage Dive

05:27 PM

Never posted in the Journal before, but I was wondering if anyone saw me crash to the floor during the Brighton gig (During U know I couldn’t last - LHS under Boz))?

I thought ‘last chance to get to the stage and a handshake’ as the moat was not too big. I was under the impression I had timed it right, but I got rather unceremoniously crashed to the floor by security. It seemed like I had been grabbed/impeded from behind. My paranoia on this stems from a bloke too my right who was signalling to Morrissey’s main bouncer guy and getting flashed back from him. Did they have some sort of spotters in the crowd? If anyone can provide me with any information on this it would satisfy my curiosity.

Anyway, they threw me out the doors and I missed the last couple of songs. They said it was the policy for stage invaders, but were not too rough throwing me out and I knew the risks involved trying to get on stage.

Won’t know the full extent of the damage until I get to my Physio tomorrow, but I still have a swollen muscle in my back. Most of damage to ego and ability too get too front at Earls Court. Back at work unfortunately, but cannot concentrate yet so need to put this wonderful tour experience behind me now. Time too move on.

Respect too the Solo’s I met for the first time in Brighton. I figure am not as obsessed a fan as I thought I was!
