Mr Brushton and the amazing fox03:28 PM
I was reminded this morning, for one reason or another, of a rather sickening sight that I saw whilst travelling into work on Sunday - the sight of a dead fox on the side of the motorway. Why I was reminded of this event, I have no idea, as I hadn't seen a fox, or any wildlife creature for that matter (besides a few "humans"). It got me thinking 'Why?' Why do we kill such animals? I mean, this was most likely an accident - a fox crossing a road where the speed limit is 70mph is bound to have some risk - but those fox hunters truly do sicken me. What fun can one extract from seeing a terrified creature being chased for its' life? It wouldn't be that if elephants were more mobile - the bastards wouldn't be laughing then. Anyway, the moral of the story is, don't kill animals. It's not right. Unless it's a savage squirrel or something. I actually had my first true experience of spam today on my old e-mail. Apparently, I am paying too much for my car (sorry, it was "Auto" - damn Americans) insurance. This is despite the fact that I don't drive a car, have never taken a driving lesson in my life, and do not live in the United States (yet). I picked up one of the old rags today to be amazed to see the headline "3am - Robbie Savaged". Thinking that EMI had finally came to their senses and axed Robbie "Let Me Entertain You" Williams, I was most disappointed to learn that it was only that ugly bloke from Eastenders being written out of the storyline. I hate television. I wore my "Meat is Murder" t-shirt today (shock horror!), and only went to one class, between 9am and 10am. I went home and did some work though. Honest, mum. Another little ditty I concocted: Seeing things going places Cos I don't want to be a hero And I don't want to sit here wasting time Seeing things going places Cos I don't want to be your hero And I don't want to sit here wasting time So come on, give in, there's no beauty to this pain Cos I don't want to be your hero And I don't want to sit here wasting time
