I'm not the man you think I am...I am a poor freezingly cold soul...I have just discovered that prudence never pays. Now, we must wait for the right time

Forces of containment...

01:09 PM

Well, the gig has been and gone. And, if you've read any of the post-gig comments on site, you won't be reading this journal, then. But wait! I go away to the gig, and come back with two more friends!!! Who could the delightful, kind people be? And do the authorities know?

Yes, so, at the concert, I met several of our Morrissey-solo-ers. But not the ones determined to bring my name down in the mud. No, I met the loyal ones; the JacquesTheLad veterans, who haven't missed a journal entry since October. First of all, I met "charminglass" (such a lovely lady), who in turn introduced me to "Squirrelhead" (a very pleasant young pup) and "sonofward" (a cool guy). They seemed shocked to see me, and rightly so. I mean, meeting one's idol is enough to reduce one's self to tears, but they managed to choke them back.

Then, about ten minutes after that, who do I meet? My old chum, BWTT. Yes, it was turning into one of those nights. BWTT actually surprised me by his stature - I was expecting him to tower over me and such, but it never really happened. BWTT really is a good guy himself. He oozes coolness from every pore. He disappeared, then I met him again about 10 songs into the gig. Quite something.

I can't really tell you much about the concert that you haven't already read. It was Morrissey, it was Glasgow. That says it all really. And meeting the lovely lady who I've already paid testament to, but let's put that one to rest. I apologise wholeheartedly, if you're reading.

So, my one and only (?) Morrissey experience proved to be...Well, amazing. I did write something on the poster which was thrown onto stage (why was nothing else thrown on?), but I can't remember what. I signed it "JacquesTheLad", I remember that much. Just so he knows who it's from, and that I was there.

In other news...Today, getting off the subway on my way to university, a young (early teens) girl fell down some stairs face first. It was a shame, the girl was quite embarrassed and crying. I was wearing my Morrissey t-shirt which I bought at the gig. I looked like a cool dude.

In my next entry, I'll answer those questions from "a bullied child"'s journal. Yes, yet more interviews with JacquesTheLad. I'm almost becoming a pop star. Don't say anything to that. Anyway, speak to you soon. Bye bye.

    Reliably devious and truculent.
  • I'[m glad that you had a good time at the concert. I found the bit in your journal about the girl falling down to be sad. It sounds like something that would happen to me......

    Till next time :)
