I'm not the man you think I am...I am a poor freezingly cold soul...I have just discovered that prudence never pays. Now, we must wait for the right time

For once in my life...

11:11 AM

The NME is correct! I have last week's copy, and I'm reading the article on The Libertines (cover stars of the week - they ARE going to be huge. The next Strokes.). They mention that the best stars come from disadvantaged/damaged backgrounds, and I have to agree. They claim that those in that situation work and try harder. They're totally correct.

How many upper-class heroes do YOU know? I can't think of many. By upper-class, I don't mean those who are fantastically rich now. I mean the ones born with a silver spoon in their mouth. By all means, many "heroes" (particularly rock stars) have had to come from adversity, in many aspects.

In other news, I finally went to the university library to obtain the relevant information as to how I log into my university e-mail account. Also, I was in Virgin today, at the Smiths section, and some female was looking! Was it you? If so, you had the pleasure and absolute privelege of standing next to JacquesTheLad for a whole thirty seconds. I was going to say hello to you, but I thought you would think me mad.

I was going to go to the cinema tonight and see XXX, taking advantage of my position as a student as an excuse to get in for less money (I won't say cheap, as the prices at cinemas are ridiculous these days). Alas, I couldn't be bothered - I don't intend on going to a cinema showing at 11pm in my life - and so I am alone tonight, Friday night, as per usual. I'm sure it has its' benefits.

But anyhow, I think I shall be off. I hope this entry has opened your eyes to the problems that society faces today.

  • You should have talked to the girl and charmed her with your wit :)

    No, I'm not being sarcastic.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
