I'm not the man you think I am...I am a poor freezingly cold soul...I have just discovered that prudence never pays. Now, we must wait for the right time

Half the day gone...

09:22 AM

And I've done very little. I kinda sorted myself out a little bit by waking up at 1pm, and what was the first thing I did? Sent C a message, telling her that I could make dinner on Wednesday or Thursday, whatever suited her. I added that if she didn't want to go, just to say, that I wouldn't be angry at her. She replied around twenty minutes later, asking who else was going to dinner. She also said that she would be coming into work on Thursday anyway, and would pop up and see me - if that was ok. I replied by saying that the other person that I originally said was going was still going (well, she might, there's a 0.5% chance, but she still might), and that it would be fine to see me of course.

I haven't had a reply yet. I don't expect one. I expect her to come up on Thursday, and I'll just freeze. I'll bring my Valentine's card and present into work, ready to give her, but doubtlessly a strange fear will grip me and I won't be able to ask. I'll be talking to her about all irrelevant things. You know, like things friends would talk about, as opposed to me actually asking her out. You know how it is.

Other things I did today...Studied for my Maths exam tomorrow, tried not to freak out as it's the first time I've studied...Em, that's about it! I'm pleased to say, however, that I correctly guessed which song from Hatful of Hollow it would be on Radio 2 last night. Yes, it was "How Soon Is Now?", and I'll stick my neck out and say it will be "What Difference Does It Make?" tonight. Or "Hand In Glove".

Any more information, I'll keep you posted. I'm sure you all care :-)

  • I am keeping my finger on the pulse of this story. I bet she'll love your present. It's always nice to be thought of on Valentines' Day. At least I imagine it would. Ermmm...
