I'm not the man you think I am...I am a poor freezingly cold soul...I have just discovered that prudence never pays. Now, we must wait for the right time

So tell all your friends...

04:46 PM

Ah dear, Feeder are getting me in the brain here...

You'll never guess what? There's yet another young lady in my life! Yes, not content with settling down for a while and not being bothered about not having a girlfriend, yet another one has taken my eye. Let's call this one C. (We'll have to move on to two-letter combinations soon...) She works in the sports department in my store, and whenever she passes me she always makes conversation with me! Which is quite strange, because I didn't know her really. Until one day, just after Christmas, she came up to me and said "Did you have a nice Christmas [JacquesTheLad]?". I was quite shocked she knew my name...

Anyway, that's the one for the moment. I don't know that much about her...I guess I'll have to make it my duty to know more about her, won't I? It's quite strange, she's buying clothes from our department (kidswear) for herself! She's quite small (about the same height as me), and apparently she can fit into Age 14 trousers...I'll try and find out over the weekend if she has a boyfriend...Ever so subtly, of course!

It's quite sad actually. I can no longer tell if a girl likes me in a certain kind of way or not. Which is rotten, because I have very little confidence when asking a girl out. It's almost as if, before I even go up to them to ask them out, I know the answer will be no. I'll maybe try to enrol the help of some of my workmates who I'm quite close to...

Anyway, enough of that. Not a great deal else happened today. I went around town, just before I actually went into work, looking at shoes which I drastically need. A few nice pairs. Might go in tomorrow to buy them. I also have Maths homework to do (who gives a toss about Implicit Differentiation? Will it have any effect on my life in the future? Probably not...). Ah bugger.

Mr Razor, and whoever else this may concern: Belle & Sebastian are actually from my home town. I knew them before they were relatively big. And, sadly, I have to say that I have never really got into their music. Which is a tragic shame, but there you go...

Biffo - ask a question! And it's Banzai, not Bonzai. Different meanings as well I think. And Banzai is incredibly stupidly hilarious. I do a pretty good impression of the guy asking people to place their bets...I'm sorry you didn't like Lord Of The Rings. I have still to see it. And I'm not particularly looking forward to seeing it. I might just wait for the DVD.

Sleepwalk - Glad to hear you were happy at New Year's! I hope 2002 is as good to you as it is to anyone else who will be happy. And I hope you are happy!

HiG - I look forward to your next e-mail instalment...

Haze - I can only agree with you - reality is just too much for us all to take at times. I'd much rather be in the movies. Or in the dreams that I dream.

Smiths - Very philosophical and sad story there. I hope 2002 is kind to you, and indeed to all of us here on Morrissey-solo. I think we should do our best to make the most of the good times, because there's far too many bad days to deal with. That's another resolution - when I'm enjoying myself, I want to REALLY enjoy myself.

That's about it. Have a nice day.
