I'm not the man you think I am...I am a poor freezingly cold soul...I have just discovered that prudence never pays. Now, we must wait for the right time

It must be good to be evil sometime

03:15 PM

Although Sunday is the Sabbath, and being a practising Catholic I give thanks to God for this day, it doesn't half depress me. It's largely a nothing day - everybody's in a vegetated state, and more importantly, the telly's crap.

So, following the (non-)events of yesterday, today was a bit of an anti-climax, delivering below what little expectations I had of it in the first place. I watched the Arsenal-Chelsea game (what a goal by Reyes!), followed by the Hibs-Hearts game (what a goal by Riordan!). The first game reminded me of my contempt for John Motson, and how much I'll despise him when Match of the Day returns for the full season to BBC next year. The second reminded me of my contempt for Sandy Clark, and how much I won't miss his "analytical skills" when Scottish football leaves the BBC next year.

This evening has been spent taking notes on a paper written for the Journal of Accounting and Economics which I have to produce a critical report on for next month. It's all about the asymmetry of information between management within companies and shareholders, and the consequences this has on capital markets. It's quite good reading, actually (I enjoy the dry stuff, it's much better than anything moist), and although it's a group project, I'll undoubtedly end up being the one doing all the work. If you're interested, leave a comment and I'll send you the paper. And the e-mail address for registration to sadbastardsunite.com.

A full day of studying is planned for tomorrow, followed by a 3km run on the treadmill at university. I doubt either will be done; I'll probably return home, watch Neighbours, and fall asleep with the Daily Record at my feet.
