I'm not the man you think I am...I am a poor freezingly cold soul...I have just discovered that prudence never pays. Now, we must wait for the right time

Does a more beautiful name exist?

As the title may suggest, I'm currently listening to Fleetwood Mac. Such liberties have only been made possible by my semester commencing on Thursday, which was swiftly followed by a quick game of soccer and a few drinkies. We then played FIFA 2000 for the PlayStation, to which I wasn't great. I finished on 4 points in a 5 team league, finishing 4th. I did, however, get a last-minute equaliser against Rangers, which made my day.

Anyway, Friday was largely uneventful. I got my hair cut so that I look more like a junior Nazi, and I bought some Christmas presents. I then commenced to do nothing. It was largely fulfilling, I must admit. However, the highlight of my day was learning to play "She's Lost Control" on my keyboard. I've owned my keyboard since I was seven years old. This is the first proper song I have learned to play, and it took me thirty minutes to perfect. So many lost possibilities. I'll use the keyboard when I'm on tour with my band - more of which, as Ian Curtis once sang, "at a later date".

Today has been pretty good, truth be told. I'm amazed to hear that The Darkness will be the Christmas number 1; I was almost certain it was going to be "Idols" (what a daft, daft name for an artist). Although the whole thing is a farce anyway, to be fair.

So, the "big" "party" is tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it immensely; so much so, that I have bought seven condoms for the event. Not for sexual usage, you must understand. No, it is simply to pull them over my head to relieve myself from the boredom. I'll drink some beer, but nowhere near enough to make any effect. I'll get there in the end. There shall be some females in the vicinity, but I'd much rather listen to the numbskulls in my head talking about what they're getting for Christmas.

On that note, does anybody remember The Numbskulls? And if you do, what comic were they in? I'm sure it was the Beano, but someone argued with me and said it was the Beezer. I know my comics (even although I only used to get the Beano and Roy Of The Rovers), so I'm almost certain they were in the Beano. But some verification would be much appreciated.

I hope most of you have a prosperous Christmas. I'll probably post on here before then, but you'll have switched off long before I do. Like now.

no mention of them on here, but it's a barry site and you can easily spend an hour there without getting bored.

    keep two chevrons apart
  • Yeah it was definitely Beano. I remember it well. One of my best mates at the time had his joke and a picture of himself printed in the Beano, when we were about 6. I was overcome with jealousy for months.

Rhiannon is a beautiful name indeed. Lots of Rhiannon's here in North Wales. Maybe one day the best team in Scotland will play the best team in Wales (with UEFA ready to give a place in Europe to the winners of the Welsh Cup, that's a high possibility), and you can come to Wrexham and experience some Rhiannon lovin'. Laters!
