I share a five-bedroom home with one other person. Between us, we have exactly one TV. It sits on a ledge in front of the fireplace in the family room. It has been turned on zero times since I have lived here. It’s actually my housemate’s TV. Mine is in storage. Neither of our televisions is worth a darn. His looks like it were manufactured in 1967. Mine isn’t much better. Obviously we don’t subscribe to cable. Though we may get cable Internet next month. Right now we have a satellite service. But it sucks. And this is a problem, as we both do a lot of things that require a fast connection. One of these is streaming TV shows that we aren’t watching on the little box that couldn’t. He likes The Bachelor and Star Trek. I am a big fan of Top Chef, The Real Housewives Series (Beverly Hills, Orange County, New York City), Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, The Layover, Desperate Housewives, Downton Abbey, and Two and a Half Men. Also, I watch Charlie Rose online everyday. But that is about it for me. Now you can understand how I have time for all those movies and books.
