On 3 October, 2002, an interview with Morrissey was played on the BBC Radio 2 show of Janice Long.

2004 Session & Interview

On 17 December, 2004, a BBC Radio 2 session (recorded on December 9th, at BBC Maida Vale Studios in London) was played on "The Janice Long Show".

The session included couple of new tracks played live and a brief interview with Morrissey by Janice Long.

The tracks played by the band and Morrissey were: "Play Easy To Get", "Redondo Beach (Patti Smith cover)", "Noise Is The Best Revenge" and "It's Hard To Walk Tall When You're Small".

2011 Session

On 9 June, 2011, Janice Long announced on her show that she would be recording new music with Morrissey on Friday, 10 June, 2011.[1] These sessions took place at the Maida Vale Studios, London.

On 10 June, 2011 it was announced that Morrissey would be appearing on the BBC Radio 2 show of Janice Long.[2] It was also stated that three new songs would be premiered: Action Is My Middle Name, The Kid's A Looker and People Are The Same Everywhere.

On 15 June, 2011, Morrissey appeared on the BBC Radio 2 show of Janice Long. The previously mentioned songs were played.

Janice Berry (née Chegwin; 5 April 1955 – 25 December 2021), known professionally by her first married name Janice Long, was an English broadcaster who was best known for her work in British music radio. The first female presenter to have a daily music show on BBC Radio 1, Long also appeared on other BBC Radio stations, such as BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio London, BBC Radio WM, and BBC Radio 6 Music, and was the first female regular presenter on the television chart show Top of the Pops, beginning in 1982. Between 2005 and 2021, Long was the Presenter of Moseley Folk and Arts Festival. At the end of her career, Long hosted four nights a week on BBC Radio Wales and Saturday afternoons on Greatest Hits Radio.
