American pop singer, songwriter, producer and actor. His career spans over 60 years and he already had songs on the charts at age 16. Best known as the lead singer of the group Tony Orlando and Dawn which was popular in in the early 1970s. After the breakup of the group, Orlando then continued as a solo singer.

Born: April 3, 1944 in New York City, New York to Greek father and Puerto Rican mother.

Michael Anthony Orlando Cassavitis (born April 3, 1944) is an American pop/rock singer, songwriter, and music executive whose career spans over seven decades. He is best known for his work as part of Tony Orlando and Dawn. In 1993, he opened the Tony Orlando Yellow Ribbon Music Theatre in Branson, Missouri. He ended his act there in 2013 and has since continued to perform many live shows as a headliner, mostly in Las Vegas, Nevada.
