Mexico was cancelled. David had to work on Friday so it was just me in my rental car, headed south towards the border...
Hello Tucson!
Training on Thursday was short and sweet—1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. But it was worth the drive. My supervisor is very charismatic, dynamic, and inspirational. All of us left the room more motivated and energized than before we entered it.
After training I headed to Kingfisher to meet scumbag—a misnomer—for drinks and dinner. What a delight. N is a classy, smart, sweet, and kind man. So glad I got the opportunity to meet him. Dinner was lovely. Had some wonderful scallop ceviche. I could have drank the dressing—it was tangy and cilantro laden. Yummy!
After dinner, I headed back to my hotel where I took a dip in the Jacuzzi then crawled into bed and fell asleep to Beat Bobby Flay on the Food Network.
Early Friday, I woke, took a nice hot bath then headed home around 8:30 AM. By the time I got back to the Verde Valley, returned the car, and stopped into my office to check my voicemail, I was wiped out. It was an intense 24 hours. Was it worth it? Heck yeah. Got inspired, met a wonderful person, and had a little adventure. We need to get away to appreciate where we are. I love where I live. It is so peaceful. That makes it paradise to me.
